Background

In a calm and compassionate manner, my reassuring presence for clients is designed to help facilitate growth and healing in their lives. Having survived through much difficulty, loss, trauma and attachment issues in my life, I am living proof that there is hope for peace, recovery and healing no matter what experience or pain you have in your past. I have my master’s degree in Counseling, bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries, both from Crown College in Minnesota. I am licensed in Minnesota as an LPC, and an active member of the American Counseling Association (counseling.org) and The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC.net) and the Minnesota Association of Christian Counselors.

As a certified marriage facilitator, I am skilled in helping couples identify your relationship’s unique strengths and weaknesses, and gently and calmly help you and your mate build new skills and communication tools to improve growth areas ready for. For those getting married, a pre-marriage assessment and counseling helps you prepare for one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. Step-family relationships are unique and require their own attention as family dynamics are complicated by the multiple relationships, loyalties, and financial concerns. Helping parents develop effective skills of cooperation in parenting before, during and after dissolution of their marriages is one of my passions. Intentional and effective communications, and cooperation between uncoupled parents can help children grow up more secure, more stable, and better adjusted, despite the challenges of living a complicated life.
